Dream Israel – Up to $7,500

Earn a grant on qualified programs with the Dream Israel Teen Travel Initiative. By fundraising for a Jewish National Fund-USA project, teens attending Alexander Muss High School in Israel are eligible for up to $7,500 in grants on qualifying study abroad programs.

Qualified Programs:

Foundations Israel (Summer, 6 weeks) – Up to $3,750

Mini-mester (Spring, 8 weeks) – Up to $3,750

Semester (Fall & Spring, 16 weeks) – Up to $7,500

RootOne – $3,000

AMHSI is a proud partner and grantee of RootOne, an initiative that helps connect thousands of Jewish teens to Israel by lowering the financial barriers to participation in immersive summer trips to Israel. Plant Your Way to Israel

Students can raise funds through Jewish National Fund-USA’s Plant Your Way program. Build a prosperous future for the land and people of Israel by raising money towards a JNF-USA project, and as a thank you for raising money through your fundraising page, JNF-USA will give you a grant, valued at 50% of what you raise, toward any educational trip before the age of 30.

Financial Aid

AMHSI-JNF offers need-based financial aid. Find our FACTS application, and submit no later than 90 days prior to departure. All AMHSI-JNF financial aid recipients will be required to participate in future recruitment efforts.

Regional Scholarships

Your local Israel Programs Admissions Director can help secure funding from local Federations, synagogues, and the like. Additionally, nearly 70 regional scholarships are available. See the full list here.

Payment Plan

Payment in full is required four weeks prior to departure. The deposit and first installment payment should be paid as directed. While there is no official AMHSI-JNF payment plan for the balance of the tuition, we are happy to receive a series of payments from families who would prefer to break down and spread out financial disbursements prior to the date due.

Sallie Mae

AMHSI-JNF has established a relationship with Sallie Mae, and our programs qualify for their K-12 Family Education Loan. The K-12 Family Education Loan gives you an effective way to pay for your student's private education beyond financial aid, personal savings, or traditional payment plans. Hebrew Free Loans

The International Association of Hebrew Free Loans (IAHFL) is an umbrella organization for Hebrew Free Loan societies and organizations that offer interest-free loans. Each member organization in North America has its own rules regarding such things as who may borrow, the maximum loan amount, and the repayment process. However, all offer loans without interest. Loan programs meet a range of different needs and may include loans for education, emergencies, developing small businesses, healthcare and life cycle events and more.
