HSI in the News

I hope that by attending high school in Israel I will grow closer to my Jewish heritage.

It’s finally here. This Sunday, five days from now, I will embark on the greatest adventure I have experienced thus far.

I’m very excited to get the chance to go on a journey like this.

The more I think about this trip, the more excited I get.

We are a week into the AMHSI semester session, and many great things have occurred.

I find our Jewish history class really interesting.

I hope I can meet all of my goals while still having a great time in this beautiful country.

This is definitely a wonderful opportunity for growth and adventure!

Many of the goals I have had already come true.

I have loved exploring Israel these past couple of weeks with my friends.

The first week at AMHSI was quite hectic and adventurous.

I will start with the most obvious cultural difference: almost everyone here is Jewish.

So far we’ve stayed in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa.

Overall, Israel and America have many differences, that you can learn from.

Israel and America are two totally different places.

The next day was packed with studies preparing us for the tiyul to Megiddo.

Israel and America have some clear differences, however, some are less obvious without residing in Israel for some time.

People are still hardworking in Israel, but everyone is just more relaxed about their work.

The hands on learning has been a key part of my experience.

On Tuesday we went to Jerusalem and learned about the Maccabees and the miracle of Chanukah.
