After a week has passed since I have embarked on this adventure, I have already experienced changes in myself. In all terms, maturity, for example, I feel as if I have already been able to develop myself and grow through my short time thus far at Alexander Muss High School In Israel Summer Program. One of the most important goals that I have set for myself on this trip is exactly what I have already begun to accomplish: growth. I hope to grow in all aspects of my life. I hope to grow as a friend, as a student, as a Jew, and as an individual still trying to figure out the world around me. I am so grateful to say that the experiences I have been fortunate enough to undergo in a short seven days have already been able to shape me into the person I hoped this trip would help grow me into. Another goal I have set for myself and plan on accomplishing in my next five weeks here at Alexander Muss High School In Israel Summer Program revolves around my education. I have always been captivated by Judaism and all that comes with that simple term. Whether it is weekly Shabbat dinners that bring me and all my family and close friends together or the beautiful country I get to call home, I have always felt very inspired about Judaism and grateful towards being a Jew. Hence, my other important goal this trip is to expand both my learning and understanding of Judaism. Both through classes with my amazing teachers and hands-on experiences with this remarkable country, my goal is to be able to know and learn about all that Israel and Judaism have to offer. I am so grateful for this opportunity and all the other opportunities that come along with it and am so excited to see the differences in myself between now and in a short five weeks!
