I’ve only been able to see Israel through the perspective of a local living in the twenty first century...
As someone who has never really had the experience of such a long summer camp, applying to Alexander Muss was a scary decision although I know it is one I won’t regret. Despite the fact that I travel regularly to Israel, I still feel that this trip will open my eyes to a new aspect of the country. I’ve only been able to see Israel through the perspective of a local living in the twenty first century which means that the historical aspects of the land remain unknown to me. I’m beyond excited to really learn about the history of the land and actually be able to visit the physical landmarks. This trip will hopefully be able to teach me about the historical and biblical aspects of Israel, which I feel that I’ve been lacking in my life since there aren’t really any resources for that type of education in my life. Aside from the educational aspect of the trip, I am also extremely excited for the social part of it. To be able to meet kids across America who live life just like me is an experience that will never get old for me. The instant connection that forms between people that have such a unique thing in common is one that I hope to make with many during my time in Israel with Alexander Muss.
