The first week at AMHSI was quite hectic and adventurous.

I will start with the most obvious cultural difference: almost everyone here is Jewish.
So far we’ve stayed in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa.
Overall, Israel and America have many differences, that you can learn from.
Israel and America are two totally different places.
The next day was packed with studies preparing us for the tiyul to Megiddo.
Israel and America have some clear differences, however, some are less obvious without residing in Israel for some time.
People are still hardworking in Israel, but everyone is just more relaxed about their work.

The hands on learning has been a key part of my experience.
On Tuesday we went to Jerusalem and learned about the Maccabees and the miracle of Chanukah.
