Not just anyone has the guts to stand up from their everyday life and move halfway around the world, alone, to study abroad.

You can walk into the town of Hod Hasharon within five minutes.

I am quickly approaching the day where I finally get to go to Israel.

I am feeling the anticipation of wanting to instantly step on that plane and for my trip to start.

I am so excited to meet so many new people, who will become friends for life.

Very soon I will be leaving America and arriving in Israel.

I am so excited to finally embark on this journey that has been so long awaited!

It’s so hard to believe that a week from today I will be saying goodbye to my friends and making my final preparations for my trip.

At the moment, there are 7 days, 8 hours, 10 minutes, and 42 seconds left until I am on a flight to Tel Aviv.

In 8 days, I will embark on the experience of a lifetime.

I look forward to the lasting memories and friendships...

It really is officially less than a week before the trip.

I’ve always loved Israel, it’s always been my home.

What I really expect/look forward to on this trip is all of the experiential learning that I will be taking part in.

The definition of an expectation is a belief that someone will or should achieve something.

Living in Israel will also throw me into the culture in a way I have never been before.

This trip was an inner calling that was bound to happen.

In my first week at AMHSI, I have set a few goals for myself.

New experiences lead to new aspirations.

My goals for my time at AMHSI are to explore my Jewish identity and learn the geography of Israel.
