Visiting a Mosque

In this picture, I am standing outside a mosque in an Israeli Arab village. I learned a lot on this trip. We met with a lady named Yasmin, who taught us all about the lifestyle of the people in the town. The majority of the people in the town are Muslim, and according to the Koran and Muslim tradition, they pray at least 5 times a day. This trip was very interesting and I loved how the people in this town incorporated modern and more rural aspects to their lifestyle. They raised lots of animals and Yasmin raised goats. It was very eye opening to learn about a culture and religion that is so different from mine, although I didn’t agree with all of their views it was still vital to learn about the views of others. I did enjoy this tiyul, and learning about other cultures, and the tea was really good :) - Sara
