Jacob grew up in Jerusalem after his family made Aliyah when he was five years old. Upon completing his IDF service in 2013 he worked as a madrich at the Alexander Muss High School in Israel. Jacob trained to be a licensed tour guide at Beit Berl College where he also completed his bachelor’s degree in Education with majors in History and Israel Studies. At the moment, he is in the midst of completing his Master’s degree in American Jewish studies as part of the Ruderman program at the University of Haifa.
Jacob began working as an Israel studies teacher at AMHSI in 2017 while also working as a tour guide with a number of other organizations including: Birthright, Tel Aviv University’s school of management, Routes travel agency and more. Currently, Jacob is working as the Director of Programming & Logistics at AMHSI where he is constantly working on innovating the Israel studies program itinerary and making sure it is as relevant and as engaging as possible.
