General Studies Teacher, English, Psychology & History

General Studies Teachers

Adee Benartzy is a true mix of Israeli and American. Raised in Tel Aviv, Adee moved to the United States at age 8. Since then, she had the incredible opportunity to experience living in all corners of the country - from Miami to New York to Los Angeles to New Orleans to Denver! Adee made aliyah as “Katin Chozer” last year and now lives in Tel Aviv.

Adee joined the AMHSI family in December of 2018. Adee holds an undergraduate dual degree in Literature and Art from the University of Central Florida and a graduate degree in History of Art from Tulane University, as well as two research fellowships at Yale University and University of California, Irvine. She is currently in her last year of a second graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (specialization in Art Therapy) at Lesley University, Boston. At AMHSI, Adee teaches English, Psychology and History.

When she’s not teaching, Adee is conducting degree-related research and working as a therapist in the south of Israel at a resilience center for war-zone related trauma and anxiety victims, as well as group therapy for holocaust survivors. When she’s not doing THAT, she’s living a sweet life filled with beautiful relationships, ocean waves, and good music.
