Rabbi Greg Litcofsky

Executive Director, Recruitment & Partnerships

AMHSI School Leadership

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rabbi Greg Litcofsky is a proud Muss where he first cultivated his deep connection to Israel and Zionist education. He earned a degree in History from Pennsylvania State University, followed by an M.A. in Bible and Ancient Semitic Languages from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and later received his rabbinic ordination from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR). Before returning to Muss, he served as a congregational rabbi, leading communities with a focus on education, engagement, and Jewish identity.

As Muss’ Executive Director of Recruitment and Partnerships, Rabbi Greg has played a key role in growing enrollment, expanding fundraising, and building a national network of leaders committed to Muss' mission. He originally began his career with Jewish National Fund-USA (JNF-USA) in 1999, and since rejoining in 2017, he has been instrumental in advancing Muss' national recruitment and strategic partnerships. He travels across the country, passionately speaking about Israel, Jewish identity, and the transformative impact of immersive experiences on the next generation of Jewish leaders.

A committed advocate for Zionist education, Rabbi Greg actively writes and speaks about combating Jew-hatred in a post-10/7 world, the importance of Jewish and Israel education for teens and adults, and the power of Zionism in shaping the future of the Jewish people.

As a proud Muss parent, he has witnessed firsthand the program's transformative power. He loves connecting with fellow Muss alumni, celebrating their achievements, and strengthening a growing intergenerational network of Jewish leaders.

Outside of work, you can find him driving carpool, managing (but not coaching!) his kids’ soccer teams, or out on the course as an aspiring bogey golfer. A lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, he and his kids are still basking in the Eagles' Super Bowl win over the Chiefs—but deep down, he dreams of the day when the Stanley Cup once again parades down Broad Street.

Rabbi Greg lives in the Philadelphia area with his wife, three children, and their faithful golden doodle, Ollie.
