The first full week with Muss summer was packed with incredible experiences and team building activities.

The Explore group discovered the tunnels beneath the City of David and learned about the ancient history buried right below their feet. They then visited the Ethiopian village to learn about the tradition and culture of Beta Israel. Later in the week, the group participated in agricultural volunteering and experienced Bedouin hospitality, enjoying traditional tea and an exciting overnight in the Bedouin tents. In the morning, students rode camels through the desert, climbed to the top of Masada, and cooled down with a float in the Dead Sea.

Additionally, students spent a meaningful day in Sderot and learned more about the events of October 7. They visited the Tekuma Memorial and heard personal testimony from a Nova festival survivor.

This week, Muss Explore was excited to welcome five Israeli teens who will join Explore for the next 10 days of the program, learning, traveling, and experiencing Israel alongside their new American friends.

Meanwhile, Muss Classic also toured the City of David, climbed Masada, and swam in the Dead Sea. One of the most meaningful experiences, however, was meeting Basma, the owner of the Israel's first kosher Druze restaurant.

Inspired by a desire to support those serving on the front lines, Basma adapted her kitchen to prepare hot, nutritious meals for IDF soldiers. Classic students had the opportunity to volunteer alongside her, helping prepare and pack lunches while learning about her inspiring story of service, resilience, and community.

The Entrepreneurship students visited the hi-tech company Wix, where they learned about innovation and entrepreneurship, met with the CEO, and had the opportunity to ask questions about leadership, startups, and the Israeli tech ecosystem.

This week also marked the launch of Entrepreneurship students' first NYU session. They developed their personal startup ideas through the Unistream program, culminating in a visit to Isracard on Thursday, where they pitched to industry professionals.
