Anticipation - ציפייה

This week is full of anticipation for me and the longer I wait the more anxious I become. I’m waiting to arrive at my home for the next 6 weeks. I’m waiting to meet my teachers for the next 6 weeks. I’m waiting to meet my roommates and my friends for the next 6 weeks. I’m waiting to eat the meals full of falafels and shawarma for the next 6 weeks. I’m waiting to practice my hebrew with Israelis all around me for the next 6 weeks. Overall, I’m waiting for all these once in a lifetime opportunities that I’ll experience over the short period of 6 weeks. There’s hopefully so much excitement to come throughout this next month and a half and I’m so grateful that i’m embarking on this trip so soon! And although I’m so excited, I can’t help but be filled with butterflies in my stomach due to the unknown aspects of this trip. Will I like my roommates? Will I do well in my classes? All these questions linger over me as I pack to embark on this adventure. But the amazing reviews I’ve heard from every single person that I’ve talked to about the program leave me hopeful that it will live up to and exceed everything that I’ve dreamed it to be. I feel optimistic that these next 6 weeks will leave me with memories for weeks, months, years, and a lifetime to come.
