Sitting here in my living room, almost one week away from my trip to Israel, I am feeling a mix of frenzy and thrill! It’s so hard to believe that a week from today I will be saying goodbye to my friends and making my final preparations for my trip. I found out about Muss a few years ago, but as a young eighth grader I never imagined myself leaving everything I knew for two months. Now, only 8 days away from boarding the plane, I couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey. I’m lucky enough that I will be surrounded by my peers on my first, hopefully of many, trips to Israel. I think it’s important to experience such a holy place with people of your age and affinity. I am very fortunate that my school is familiar with Muss, and I hope to bring even more connections to PC when I return home. Muss is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I want it be something that my friends to desire to do. I want to help bring them, among many others, to Israel once I return. Muss will be so different from all of the other Hebrew school classes I have attended throughout my life. I am extremely impatient to be surrounded by the subjects I am studying. Most importantly, I am hopeful that while in Israel I will make memories of a lifetime - surrounded by people who will become my lifelong friends!
