Coming to Israel has made me want to accomplish many goals in my life. I have always wanted to become a better Jew, become closer to the land of Israel, and find out who I truly am. Being a fellow will surely help me accomplish these goals in my life. Coming to Israel was truly a life changing decision and will be a once in a lifetime experience. Some challenges that I have faced was the school work. Sometimes it is a lot of work that I need to do in a short amount of time, but I always find a way to get it done.

I have already started to become a better Jew because I have started to feel more connected to Israel because of the trips that we went on such as to the Western Wall. When I was at the Western Wall and close to it I felt as if I was directly connected to God. I have never felt that way before and it was a very strong feeling that I don’t think I will ever have again which was an amazing experience. Going to Masada also has helped me feel more connected to Judaism because I could see that history that helped make me a free Jew and a Jew in general. Without all of the history that I have learned, it is easy to put it together with all of the trips and envision the history in person. Today we were in a 2,000 year old cave which was pretty awesome. I got to experience what the people in the Barkochba Revolt experienced. These experiences have made me feel connected to Israel and I love it.

I feel as if I am closer to the land of Israel because I am in the land of Israel. I can see the culture and feel the culture around me when I walk into town or go into stores on trips. I love the land of Israel already and I can’t wait to be here for 6 more weeks. I can get closer to the land and become more Jewish.

Israel will help me change because it is a different culture and different people. It is a lot different than America. It is also very similar to America in many ways. America is different because it is so much bigger than everything in Israel. The food is so much different and I like the food here. Israel is also different because there are so many Jews here and so much Hebrew which is crazy awesome.

In conclusion, I have yet to change and experience new trips and memories that will last forever. I love everyone here and I am excited for the rest of the time here.
