Wow! I am finally in Israel. My journey started as the other impact fellows and I took a bus from Philly to JFK. Once we got there I met everyone else. It was so great to meet everyone. After questioning at check in we went through security and found the gate. It was not long before we boarded. I slept for  a lot of the flight. Once we landed we went through border patrol and found our luggage. Finally we met our madrichim and headed to Hod Hasharon. When we arrived at Hod Hasharon it was dark so I did not get a full look at the campus. We ate dinner and then got our roomates. Our first meal in the dining hall was breakfast. I felt like I was a freshman again on the first day of school. There were people coming in all directions. My friends and I did not know exactly what to do. I now have gotten the hang of things when it comes to getting food.

Life here has been so much fun. I have gotten close with a lot of people and cannot wait to become even closer. Shabbat was very relaxing and we got to sleep late which is always good. We did a lot of get to know you games to learn about each other. My Core class is so fun. My teacher, Benjy. He is so funny and makes class interesting. It is hard to sit for 4 hours in that class but we have a 45 minute break. I have learned so much already.

Yesterday, we went to Tel Gezer. A tel is a small hill. We learned that different groups of people would come and build a city. Years later another group would come and build a city on top of that one. I saw different gates, defense systems, and even saw some pieces of pottery on the ground.

Tomorrow we leave for a 2 day trip to Jerusalem. We will be going to the Western Wall, underground tunnels, and the Sachne which is a spring kind of like a natural pool. I cannot wait to go. It is so beautiful there.
