Saying Farewell to Muss Summer

This week, our Muss Summer 2026 story came to a close as we said goodbye to our Classic, Entrepreneurship, and Explore students. After a summer filled with discovery, friendship, growth, and unforgettable moments across Israel, watching our teens head home was truly bittersweet. We feel so grateful for the time we shared together, for the laughter and learning along the way, and for the memories each student will carry forward. As we look back on these final days at Muss, we can’t help but reflect on how much everyone has grown in their Israel journey, and we have every hope that this is only the beginning of a lifelong connection to Israel and to the Muss family.

During their last week, the Explore students toured Neve Tzedek before spending erev Tisha B'Av at the Michael Levin Lone Soldier Center and Yad Vashem. The teens heard from a Holocaust survivor and then closed out their evening with an emotional visit to the Kotel. The group spent several days in northern Israel, hiking Mt. Arbel and exploring the Gamla Nature Reserve. Their final Shabbat was spent at Kibbutz Gadot, and on their very last night, the group enjoyed a farewell banquet where everyone shared memories and reflected on the last four weeks.

The Classic and Entrepreneurship teens spent their last Shabbat by the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) and swam in the waters at Sachne. On the final day together, the two groups also celebrated with a banquet and reminisced about the memories made that will last a lifetime. Once the Classic students officially said their goodbyes, Entrepreneurship traveled to Tel Aviv where they presented their final projects at the Nefesh B'Nefesh offices, receiving valuable feedback from representatives at Israel’s leading high-tech companies. Entrepreneurship closed out the program with a farewell to the Old City of Jerusalem.
