“The Best Four Months”
As my time here at Muss is coming to an end, I find myself looking back at the past three and a half months in awe of all the amazing things we have done as a group. Just the other day, we were in Tel Aviv, packaging food and delivering the packages straight to the houses of people in need. Something about finishing the act made the whole experience more meaningful, and I could really see the difference we were making.
We’ve done everything from hiking across the country to dancing with other Jewish teens in Poland to walking the streets of the Old City and truly understanding the roots of our people. I think back to the first few days of the program and how everyone became so close, so fast. That feeling of comfort and community allowed me to fully enjoy all that Muss has to offer. Every trip we go on has more meaning because I am doing them with people I have grown to love.
Before I left for Israel, I thought that four months was a long time. I was wrong. One moment we are all hiking Tel Gezer together for our first trip, then I close my eyes and suddenly it’s December, and I’m reminiscing on the best four months of my life with friends I know will be a part of my story forever.
