Explore this week at Muss, from the Kotel to remote Bedouin communities

We started off in Hod HaSharon, settling into dorm life and getting to know everyone. From the moment we landed, it’s been nonstop exploring, learning, and just taking everything in. Our group has been a lot of fun—everyone’s super engaged and really into every part of this experience.

This week was packed with unforgettable moments. We visited the ancient city of Jerusalem, saw the Western Wall, and walked through the Old City. We went to the Maccabiah Museum and learned about Tal Brody’s incredible journey from the NBA to becoming a Jewish sports icon.

In Tel Aviv, we explored colorful markets, tried all kinds of street food, learned about the graffiti art around the city, and spent an afternoon at Banana Beach. We also had a powerful visit to the Nova site and heard from a speaker named Noam, who shared a deeply moving story about his experience at the Nova festival. Later, we visited a lookout point in Sderot and saw the border between Israel and Gaza.

While in Sderot, we learned about the terrorist attack on October 7th. We visited the site where the police station once stood, which is now a landmark meant to preserve and share the story of that day.

One of the most incredible days was spent in Bedouin tents. We rode camels, gathered around a bonfire, and even slept in a tent! The next morning, we hiked up Masada to watch the breathtaking sunrise. During our tour, we gained a deep understanding of the landmark’s rich history—it was truly unforgettable.

Today, we participated in an entrepreneurship “Shark Tank” activity at Ben-Gurion University. Each group of five participants had to develop a business idea and pitch it to the audience, just like on the real Shark Tank show.

Beyond all the amazing places we’ve been, the conversations we’ve had this week were incredibly meaningful. We had sessions on history, identity, and values, as well as talks with Rabiah on AI and entrepreneurship—and again, with Tal Brody about leadership through sports. It’s been really cool to hear from people doing such inspiring things and to reflect on our own goals and values.

One of the best parts of the week has been bonding with everyone—whether it was helping each other during a hike or opening up during reflection circles.

One friend told me they feel more connected to their Jewish roots and community. Another said, “It’s a completely different Israel experience from anything I’ve ever had before.”

Thank you so much for all the love and support back at home. We’re doing great, and we can’t wait to keep sharing this journey with you.

Lots of love from Israel!
