This semester has truly been a life-changing experience—one that I know will stay with me in many aspects of my future. The friendships I’ve made, the independence I’ve gained, and everything I’ve learned will always be a part of me.
I believe that joining this program requires both courage and a deep passion for Israel, especially during this time. That’s what makes the people here so special—it brings together like-minded, motivated individuals who truly care.
Yam L’Yam, a four-day hike from the Mediterranean Sea to the Kinneret, was the perfect way to end our journey. Some of us, including myself, chose to leave our phones on campus so we could fully experience each final moment, whether it was hard or joyful. This trip gave us the chance to disconnect from the outside world and reflect on ourselves and how far we’ve come. Every day, I see my peers making conscious choices to become better people.
Personally, hiking and camping aren’t usually my favorite activities. But somehow, I already know these are the memories I’ll cherish forever.
