As I reflect upon the chagim spent on campus, I recall a meaningful and loving experience. During Rosh Hashana I spent time recognizing hurt I've felt in the past, and how I can let go of the power it once held over me. Being here for Rosh Hashanah was different than the past, but it was very nice and I am very pleased with my time here. I feel like I have grown a little as a person and feel happy with the place I am at mentally at this moment.

My time during Yom Kippur had a little different approach. I reflected upon my past year and decisions and recognized my actions, some good some bad. It was a time to really let my mind wander. It was my first year finishing the 25 hours of fast. I went to each service and I really tried to stay connected throughout the day. In the end I felt very good about my day and was very proud of myself for making it through. Although this happened to be the easiest fast I've done, it was also the most meaningful. I feel that although we had a lot of time just focused on hunger, because we were all together it made the fast more endurable and nice. We were all in the same boat which made Yom Kippur all that more meaningful.
Overall, the holidays were definitely spent well and I made some new connections with people here at Muss. I mediated, danced, sang, read, and just enjoyed my time on campus. I am trying to make the best of the covid lockdown. It’s weird being stuck here and away from family during this but it's really okay and memorable and things are going pretty well.
