I now know that when I want something all I need is dedication and belief in myself.

Over these past few days, I've been asked what I want to achieve from this program, or why I'm here. I've thought about it for a while, and I've realized that I have many goals and reasons. One of the most obvious things that I would like to accomplish is getting good grades and keeping them up the whole semester. I want to make good habits and keep up with them. For example, I don't want to put aside homework and tell myself I’ll do it later, or I don't want to tell myself I cant. I now know that when I want something all I need is dedication and belief in myself.

Another one of my goals is to become more outgoing, step out of my comfort zone. I would like to try new things, conquer my fears, and talk to new people. Opening myself up to new opportunities and experiences is not something I often do at home so this is going to be very different for me. I really want to practice my Hebrew skills, and what better place than Israel.  Although I speak Hebrew, my writing skills aren’t that good so I would really like to change that. Luckily for me, we have a Hebrew class for this semester so that will really help me out. I really enjoy learning about the Torah and Israel's history and struggles, it is one of my favorite subjects to learn about. So by the end of this experience, I would hope that I can confidently say I understand the history of Israel. Living on this campus and having so many things available to me is very interesting, and I plan on taking advantage of every opportunity I can. There is a gym on the campus that I would really like to use to the fullest I can. There are honestly so many things that I would like to work on and get done. I know that if I put my mind to it, I won't have a problem at all.
