I have many goals for my time in Israel that I hope to achieve by the end of this semester. Becoming fluent in Hebrew is something that I want to work hard for so that I could interact and socialize with Israelis in town and other people who speak Hebrew. Learning Hebrew would open my opportunities to try new and interesting Israeli foods while visiting plenty of shops around town. For the impact fellowship, I want to be able to take lots and lots of photos not only to spread awareness for AMHSI and studying abroad but to also remember this experience in the future. The impact fellowship has inspired me to try my hardest in all of my classes so I am going to be on top of all my assignments and studying for all of my tests. The classes in this high school are very different from my home school and it's very refreshing to learn in smaller classrooms with fewer people.
Along with better learning, The friends I have made in this program have been some of the closest friends I have made and it's only been a short time but we have bonded and had so much fun, I really hope to become even closer with these people over the next four weeks. My roommates especially make this trip exciting, I am so glad I like my roommates and we all get along, there is never a dull moment in the dorm room. Everyone in the dorms helps each other study for the quizzes when we are all stressing out. Our first tiyul was Tel Gezer and we learned about architecture and what you need to develop a city. It was so amazing to have a class outside and be able to learn and be active at the same time, it's a completely different learning environment and it makes easier to connect and learn the material.
