Tiyul. A tiyul is a trip that we go on. A tiyul that was very meaningful to me was the one to the Golan Heights. In this tiyul we had learned the history behind it. The Golan Heights are up high mountains that are right above the Hula Valley. They are right by the border of the country. It is very important to keep it a part of Israel. The reason why is because if another country had control then it would be easier for them to attack Israel. We need to protect the borders of Israel so the rest of Israel doesn’t face as big of a threat. Israel is currently at peace with the surrounding countries. This is good for Israel not losing people in a war. Before the Golan Heights were apart of Israel people could go up there and kill people below in the Hula Valley. This was not good and Israel needed to make a change about it. Israel had a undercover spy that learned all the secrets and helped Israel know where all the bunkers of people were to take them out. In the Golan Heights we also took a hike. This was one of my favorite hikes because we didn’t just walk we were climbing over rocks and streams of water. It was very hot outside when we were hiking. However this was worth it because we hiked down to a waterfall. The waterfall had water at the bottom of it. This was nice to cool off when we went swimming in the water. The waterfall was very pretty to look at too. It was so hot outside that after we swam we dried off right away. This was a very fun tiyul. We got to learn the history behind it. Also we got to adventure off into it and see what was there.
