All of the Tiyulim were very meaningful to me. Many stood out to me in comparison to others. They stood out based on the material we were learning, the people I was surrounded with, and the places I was in. One that stood out to me in particular was Masada. I really enjoyed Masada.

All of the Tiyulim were very meaningful to me. Many stood out to me in comparison to others. They stood out based on the material we were learning, the people I was surrounded with, and the places I was in. One that stood out to me in particular was Masada. I really enjoyed Masada. It was extremely meaningful to me. In the beginning it was difficult for me to imagine waking up at three am and going on a very difficult hike. To my surprise, it was actually one of my favorite moments of the trip. The hike itself was really fun because I was surrounded by my friends. I also enjoyed the physical hike because I like working out. When I got up the hill, I really enjoyed taking in the view with the people around me. We all sat in awe as we stared at the sunrise while taking hundreds of pictures and selfies. What I found very meaningful was when my dorm came together and we sang some prayers all together. We said the Shamah, sang hine ma tov, and so much more. Another part I found meaningful was when we stood off the side of the cliff and yelled Am Israel Chai. As we did so, we heard the echoes of thousands of voices, representing those who perished in Masada in hopes to save the Jewish people and their culture.
