Six weeks have gone by so quickly. It is absolutely insane to me that six weeks have passed. It feels as if yesterday I boarded the flight, landed in Israel, and discovered this beautiful country. It has been such a spectacular several weeks. I had a great time and I am so sad it is over already. In the beginning of the trip I set goals for myself. The goals revolved around what I wanted to achieve and accomplish while at High School in Israel and in Israel in general, this summer. One of my goals was growth. I have achieved this goal. I see in myself how much I have grown. As a Jew, as a friend, and as a person in general, I feel I have matured. I learned how to take care of myself as well as others around me through this program. I have discovered myself on this program and the type of person I want to be in this world. The experiences I have had here were once in a lifetime and they each shaped me into the person I will now return to the states and will spend the rest of my life continuing to shape and revise. Another goal I set and accomplished is in terms of education. I have always wanted to know more about Judaism which I learned through this program. Not only that, but I learned about Judaism on site of where everything really happen. It was truly amazing and I am shocked and amazed by everything I now know. My last goal was friendships. This I also feel I have achieved. Through HSI, I have made friends for life. I know that even when the program is over we will remain friends and I am so excited for our future memories together. Overall I would consider this trip a success and I am so grateful. Thank you!
