I can say this goal has been without a doubt achieved.

It is insane how fast these 8 weeks have gone by, and unbelievable that I am already reflecting o the goals I made for myself in the first weeks. My first academic goal was to not procrastinate, and be able to take time to do my school work, even though there was always something else I could be doing that was more fun. Although this has been difficult, I definitely believe I achieved this goal. When I have school work to get done, I find a quiet place on campus, and get the work done. This always pays off, because it allows me to spend time with friends later, and not feel rushed and stressed to get the work done. My next academic goal was to participate in Jewish Studies class more. I can say this goal has been without a doubt achieved.
In the first couple weeks, I really did not participate much, and basically only observed. Now, whenever I have a question, or anything to say that I think can add to the discussion I will not hesitate to raise my hand. This has made the class much more interesting. Although that class is very long, being active in the discussions makes it much more enjoyable and makes the time go by faster. My first personal goal was learn enough basic Hebrew to be able to communicate when I went into town. Although I was able to learn a few words in Hebrew, I wish I learned more.
My final personal goal was being able to manage my money. After the first week, I stopped going into town as much, which helped me in spend less money. In my goals, I stated that I wanted to try and eat on campus more so I could spend more money on souvenirs and other things besides food. Now I realize that after buying the few gifts for myself and people back home, It is worth it to treat myself to a good dinner once or twice a week. Overall, I think have done a pretty good job achieving the goals I made at the beginning. In terms of school work, this trip has not only broadened my understanding of Judaism, but also helped with general studies classes as well. Being around so many people that are so hardworking and dedicated to doing well in school has really inspired me, and helped me become even more focused on doing well in school and being a better version myself all around.
