Going into this program I didn't know what to expect. Would I make friends, enjoy the CORE class, or even just enjoy living on my own. Closing in on the end of the program, I can say that everything that I wanted to happen happened. Every single one of the goals that I set for myself at the beginning of the program has been achieved. One of those goals that were achieved was my goal to make the most of my experience. Every moment I have had here I have acted like it is last. I do everything enthusiastically and with tons of energy. I make sure that in everything we do I stay positive, and if it is not something that I particularly like, I try to turn it into something that I do like. I have even been taking the time after every day to reflect and think back on it.  I knew that this amazing, fantastic, unimaginable experience was not going to last forever, so I made sure to make the most of my time. The next goal that I set for myself and achieved was to form strong friendships. I have made extremely strong friendships since I have been here. I have basically become close friends with everyone in my session. I have become great friends with some of the girls. We hang out all of the time in the dorm and do a bunch of activities together. I have made great friendships with the girls, but I have gotten the closest to the boys. In my session, there are only seven boys, so I was able to become great friends with all of them. All of us hang out all of the time, go out to dinner together, and have really funny conversations. I hope that these friends will now stay with me for my whole life.

More specifically, I was also able to accomplish my academic goals. One academic goal I had was to make sure that I truly took in and understood the information in CORE class, and I can tell you that that was definitely achieved. I can tell you everything about Jewish history. You want to know about the Tanakh I got you, you want to learn about the holocaust I got you, you want to learn about the Israeli Arab conflict I got you. I am extremely glad that I learned this information. I was able to now truly understand my religions history and my history. Another academic goal I had for myself was to get all A's in my general studies classes and that was also achieved. I have learned a ton in math, chemistry, and Spanish while here and I have done extremely well in them. I love my teachers and love the information that I am learning.
