This week has been so fun! So far we have all bonded so well and I have met so many new friends! This week we went to Jerusalem. This is the greatest city on earth. So much beauty, chaos and history all in one place and I got the honor to be a part of it. When we were on the bus, they blindfolded us in the bus for a solid 10 minutes. No one knew what to expect, we knew we were in the city of gold but we did not know where we were. As we got onto the bus blindfolded, they slowly guided us off the bus the pretty much were playing around because we couldn’t see and it took us like 10 minutes to walk 50 feet. But it was fun and it was so cold. I pretty much was not prepared for that weather and I was so cold, but it was worth it. As we approached the area all together, we lined up into a straight line. Once we were all there in the line they asked us to take off the blindfolds. So as instructed, I slowly took it off. I was looking over the old city of Jerusalem for the first time in a long time and it was amazing. I could hear the prayers from the dome of the rock and I could see the crowds of the Western Wall. It was amazing.

Later, we went to Ben Yehuda Street where I ate at my favorite restaurant in all of Israel, Moshikos. It was the best Shwarma I have ever had!  The next day I got to go the Western Wall and I put my personal note into the cracks of the 3000 year old piece of my history. It was so powerful and amazing. I hope next week is just as good and it will be if my Atlanta Falcons win Super bowl LI!!!
