It’s been a week since we flew here and everything is so different!
Especially the classes, because the classes are so small here compared to at home. I’m the only person in my math and science class, it makes learning so much easier being one on one with the teacher, I feel I can ask as many questions as I want and I can get all the help that I need. While we are here we also take core classes about Israel and its history, this week we learned about the Torah and then for our first tiyul (trip) we went to Tel Gezer and learned hands on. It was such an amazing experience getting to walk in a place where the part of the Torah was based on, it made it much more real.
I’m surprised how close everyone is already and it’s only been a week!
It feels like camp but at the same time it doesn’t it’s a completely different feeling! The hardest thing about being this far away from home is communication, it’s difficult to find time and have a full conversation with someone with such a large time difference because we are so busy so when we have free time they are still waking up.
So far my favorite thing we did this week was D.O.T.S (dinner on the streets) 10 of my friends and I went to a restaurant called Japanika and had an all girls night, it was a great way to end Shabbat!
