Exciting- מְרַגֵשׁ

In my first week of Alexander Muss High School the excitement and adventures never cease to impress me. As this trip is just commencing, I already have had such amazing experiences and can only imagine how many more there are to come. Approaching the first week, I felt anxious that it would be difficult to make friends with so many new people, or to adjust to the new ambiance; and although it has only been five days, all my fears have withered away. Every individual at the Alexander Muss High School, students and madrichim alike, have been beyond friendly and overwhelmingly welcoming. It has been five days and I already am beginning to feel at home. While here, I have realized that there are so many opportunities that I have been offered and would like to take advantage of each and every one of them. First of all, I would like to work on my Hebrew. My whole life I have loved speaking Hebrew and practicing it with anyone that I can. Going out to the city every evening and speaking with the locals has already helped me learn new vocabulary and practice communication. I hope to continue this and by the time I leave AMHSI, I hope to have noticed a drastic change in my Hebrew. Additionally, an extremely important goal that I have is to make closer and more friends. I’ve approached many new people and I feel like this camp is a perfect fit for me. Lastly I’d like to learn about Israel and retain all my knowledge. This class is so important not only to me, but to future Jewish generations. By educating myself and learning more about my homeland, I’m sure I will return in the future and educate others. I know I will help others realize the importance of a Jewish state and all the excitement it has to offer. This unique experience will only continue, and I have so many new challenges and adventures awaiting me.
