Traveling has always been something that peaked my interest. That’s why every opportunity I’ve had to travel I’ve taken. But that’s just me. This past summer I spent a month in Spain studying Spanish and it was incredible to learn about a culture different than mine but it made me realize how little I knew about my culture. That’s when I remembered what my neighbor hope told me she did last year which was go on Alexander Muss High School in Israel. My parents thought it was a great idea and from then on I was set on going to Israel. I was expecting the program to be close to my summer program but nothing compares to going abroad for school. Going abroad during the school is such an amazing experience and really allows you to learn about who you are as a person. I now feel as though I’m prepared for college and life on my own. Being abroad you manage everything on your own and before this trip that seemed so hard to me but because of it now I’ve become so independent and my time management skills have gotten so much better. I’m so beyond happy with this experience and I wouldn’t give up this experience for everything. That’s why my advice to people thinking about going abroad is YES!!
