Honestly, the anticipation is killing me. As I sit here trying to wrap my head around the fact that I’m leaving my home and all I know behind for two whole months it’s hard to picture. I’ve traveled by myself to other countries before but something about this specific trip is different. 

I applied for the Philadelphia fellowship because the only way I have heard people that I know describe their experience at AMHSI is life-changing. And I mean come on who could pass up the opportunity to live in Israel for two months and experience tour history first hand. But for this apparent life changing trip I am more nervous than I have ever been to leave home. In my past trips I’ve gone with upwards of 40 kids each time however for this trip there will only be 20. While I think this small group will definitely impact me in a positive way it will definitely be difficult in the beginning getting used to being with the same small group constantly. Overall, I’m extremely excited to meet everyone and travel to Israel I’ve been googling the places were set to visit on the trip and each one is more beautiful than the next. …till next time.
