With the trip to Israel quickly approaching, I am extremely excited, but my one concern is: “Shoot! I haven’t started packing!” Even though that is a slight worry of mine, it will not be one for long. I cannot wait to spend eight weeks in a culture different from my own, and I am ecstatic to be able to immerse myself in new, out of the ordinary, experiences. I am really looking forward to meeting new people from all over the country and being able to explore Israel with them. The Impact Fellowship offers such great opportunities to become a stronger and more independent leader, and it also provides a chance for teenagers to all see of Israel, not just the touristy parts. Once I realized that Israel was not a just thought - it was a reality - I immediately downloaded the “Countdown” app and set the date for when we leave. At the moment, there are 7 days, 8 hours, 10 minutes, and 42 seconds left until I am on a flight to Tel Aviv. The one thing that I am nervous about is not getting enough sleep on the trip. At home, I try to go to sleep around 9:45-10 PM, and I wake up for school at 7:10 AM, so I am hoping that I can stay on a somewhat similar schedule. Before I know it, I will be waking up in my dorm room at AMHSI, ready to start my journey, and I really hope these next few days go by quickly!
