I am so excited to finally embark on this journey that has been so long awaited! I cannot believe that we are only a short 9 days away. Since I have never been to Israel, I am hoping to be able to see the land and learn all about it. Also, I am hoping to make new friends and meet new people, and of course, have so much fun. I think that my only fear is that I will fall behind with my school work, and not be caught up when I get back. However, I know that I am going to work hard, and this should not happen.

When thinking about the fellowship, I heard it was a great opportunity to gain leadership skills, independence, and to learn about your Jewish identity. These were all aspects of my life that I wanted to heighten and reasons that made me decide to apply for the fellowship. I hope that while in Israel, I will grow as a person and learn about myself, while surrounded by amazing people.
