I decided to apply for the fellowship because I want to improve my leadership, writing, and social skills. I plan on expanding my Jewish and Israeli knowledge through educational experiences taught by enlightening teachers and exploring Israel with my Jewish classmates. My school has 4 Jewish kids out of 2,000 students, I am so thrilled to be around Jewish kids all the time, and not be the minority in a country. Connecting with my future Jewish classmates will be a new experience and I look forward to that. Although I have some nerves, I am way more excited for this adventure than I am fearful to go to muss, but I would say something I am a little nervous about is making friends and traveling by myself. However, lots of my friends have done the program and have all made lifetime friends and have had no trouble traveling to Israel, so that eases my worries. I’m anticipating to have remarkable, life-changing teachers, and to go on incredible, informative trips. I just looked at others blogs and they make me even more eager to be in Israel, the adventure I am about to have will be one-of-a-lifetime. I am so grateful that I get to embark on this journey.
