I have very mixed emotions about leaving to AMHSI. I know it will be an amazing experience for me however I am scared to be leaving home for 4 months. I don’t know what to expect honestly, I have heard great things from everyone that has been but I don’t know how my own experience will be. My main fear is having such a big change happen so quickly as well as being away from many of my friends and family. I hope to gain a sense of self worth and also mature more as a teen. All my friends are sad I’m leaving and they tell me how I shouldn’t be leaving and all this stuff. And honestly in a way I agree with them. I know that this will be an amazing and fulfilling experience however a part of me does not want to leave all my friends and family behind for 4 months. I have been talking to someone that went to AMHSI last year and I’ve heard so many great things about the school, teaches hikes, and AMHSI as a whole. I’m sure this will be a life changing journey and a beautiful experience and I can’t wait till it all begins.
