It has been three weeks since I arrived in Israel and got a familiar taste of the culture here than in America. Been getting used to the daily routine here, it was weird in the beginning because for me the school day goes from 8am to 3pm but here it’s from eight am to 6:15pm which for me was very tiring but now I’m used to it. We had around about five trips or tiyulim however. The most I enjoy about our hikes is walking through passes and trails in the mountains and enjoying the scenery that Israel has to offer. I’ve heard many people say that one of the most significant differences is the money here, there are more coins with higher value like the 10 shekel, the bills look like monopoly money and when people saw it for the first time they came up to me and said that I was right. The other difference is the food, seems like some foods would taste the same all around the world but the differences is the seasoning. In Israel they put a lot more seasoning on the meats which makes them more savory than sweet. The coke here is also more flavorful than in America maybe because they don’t use as much sugar and that’s with a lot of the products here, like the ketchup. The taxi drivers or just drivers in general are so aggressive compared to Americans. They honk all the time, drive thirty kilometers over the speed limit, always pass each other it’s like a driving instructors nightmare I love it. For me because I live in Washington the weather is so much hotter and humid here then it is in Seattle.
