Israel has very special moments but the only one that really feels like won’t happen in America is the yeshiva during Simchat Torah. Going there I thought it was going to be really boring and when I got there my suspicions were true, we sat there for thirty minutes listening to the yeshiva rabbi talk while the person in charge of the group translated everything. During this I fell asleep maybe twice so when they started moving things around and woke me up I got excited because everything they said about how fun and great this is was almost here. They brought out the Torahs and I was thinking of how they just moved the chairs so the Torah could move around and bring the Torah around the room. But the older men from the yeshiva started to dance and sing so we all joined in yelling and having a really fun time. The canter started out dancing around with the Torah in the center of the room and passed it on every song and led us song by song. Even though none of us knew any of the songs we were just jumping in circles like we were at a concert, jumping and screaming at the top of our voices. Anyways on the way back we were all tired and it took us at least an hour and a half to get back to the hotel. We all fell asleep immediately, one of my roommates was too tired to climb the bunk that he fell asleep on the floor. That was something I will never forget. But this trip has been really fun and I’m looking forward to Poland in a few weeks. My dorm has been really fun and we are doing some fun things like dance parties and board games. We have done some in room games such as duck duck goose, hide and go seek, and tag. Yam le yam is really soon and I am looking forward to the challenge ahead and how much mental strength I’m going to need. But the trip as a whole so far has been really good and I am enjoying myself.
