I feel more than prepared and excited to come back and tell people about this amazing journey.

I feel super sad while writing this and realizing we have less than a month left. We have been here for so long and we have done so much and I’m not fully ready to go home to my normal 7 hour school day. That’s why it makes me happy to go on our awesome trips or go to an army training base for 5 days like we did this past week. I really enjoyed that because it wasn’t the hardest but it was fun to work in a way that was not using our brains in a classroom like we do all day. It was an experience that I have never done before and that was really cool. During this week all the boys and I had to work all together to complete all of our responsibilities. We did this well because everyone was able to do their part.
When I get back to the US of A, I know I will be overwhelmed with responsibilities. There will be lots of homework assignments I will be told to do, while still managing that with drivers ed and hanging with friends. This program has helped me a lot with my time management skills so this should not be a big deal. Another big responsibility I will have and I’m excited to do is inform people about this amazing program. As an Impact Fellow, I will have the opportunity to go out and preach the good things about this program in front of larger crowds.
I feel prepared to do this because we had a meeting between all the Fellows on how to be a good public speaker. I feel as if I was not a bad public speaker going into this but that lesson prepared me more and definitely made me better. I feel more than prepared and excited to come back and tell people about this amazing journey.
