I connected personally to this tiyul.

We have been through about two months now, of our AMHSI program and experience. We have been studying through most of Jewish history already, up until about World War I. While studying all these dates, and the history, we have been going on many tiyuls to actually see where the real thing happened of what we studied. For now, it has been a great experience where we learned many things. Now we have about two months left, and I hope we can learn the same amount or even more interesting information on the history of Judaism. Also, I look forward to learning a lot in our Poland trip, which is in about one week.
A tiyul that I really enjoyed, is going on Yam Le Yam, which was us walking from the west side of Israel to the east, or from the Mediterranean Sea to the Kineret. We walked through many great places with great views. This tiyul was a long and difficult four days of walking for about 7 hours. I connected personally to this tiyul by connecting to myself and growing up more as an individual. This is because we had to sleep in tents on the floor. The beds were very uncomfortable, and we had to go to the bathroom in the woods, which was a first for me in my life.
It was meaningful because we got to spend a lot of time together and bond a lot. The historical takeaway of the tiyul spoke to me by me seeing the places where the people used to live and also seeing how many people did the trail. We also saw all the animals that lived there, which showed what type of people lived there. If I were a Jew living in that time, it would be a little hard, because getting food would we hard, and also living in those conditions.
