As my summer here in Israel comes to a conclusion, I am filled with remorse. I really don’t want to leave this amazing place, the people are fantastic. And I’ve made friends who will last a lifetime. And have had so many new experiences, one of the coolest was simply just hanging out with those new friends.

As my summer here in Israel comes to a conclusion, I am filled with remorse. I really don’t want to leave this amazing place, the people are fantastic. And I’ve made friends who will last a lifetime. And have had so many new experiences, one of the coolest was simply just hanging out with those new friends.

When I first realized how much free time we had I was a little nervous, how were we supposed to keep ourselves occupied for all that time. But as I soon realized every time we spent together was effortlessly filled with fun.

For example I got a haircut yesterday with Drew Siegel, a spunky young lad from Boston. We went into town looking for memories, we eventually stumbled across this small barber shop on the corner. We walk in and the guy looks at us and says “wow you guys need a haircut” from that point on we knew that this 90 year old barber was going to be quite entertaining.

Turned out he was. For one he asked us what we wanted and so we told him, then he says “I’m going to do my own thing” that would never happen in America and makes Israel so great. Another hysterical thing he did was offer us home made lemonade, with rose water. It was delicious of course but it was just so random, that I might just fly to Israel for my next haircut.
