Visiting the Golan Heights

Mimi
Last week we traveled to the Golan Heights. In the middle of the lockdown, we were able to travel and volunteer in working in agriculture. It was nice to get off campus and help the farmers in need. It was incredible that the program made it possible for us to travel while no one else can. This trip connected me to the holy land in a whole new way. On the last night, I felt a warmth in my heart from the amazing scenery and community surrounding me. I could not take my eyes off of the incredible view. I felt more safe and at home then I do in my own home in Seattle. Having class on a cliff with a miraculous sunset was unimaginable. I am incredibly blessed to have seen such an amazing view in the holy land. This moment connected me to the land on a deeper level. I hope that everyone gets to experience the feeling of security and happiness that I had that night.
