I have had so many amazing experiences here in Israel.
I have had so many amazing experiences here in Israel. I am so grateful to be here in the holy land especially during the chagim. The fast on Yom Kippur has always been meaningful to me, but this year it was like never before.
I really got deep in my thoughts reminding myself what is most important for me to work on. I spent the day repenting for my sins and the evening in services praying. In services, as I looked left and right, I felt supported from the presence of the congregation. Once services ended and the rabbi blew the shofar, I felt extremely cleansed and so at home. The cheers from everyone in the room warmed my heart and gave me a new sense of community. I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to experience the chagim here in Israel. The friends I have made here already feel like family to me. It is surreal that I have only known them for less than a month. The friendships I have made here are ones that will last a lifetime. I am so grateful for this incredible opportunity to meet amazing people, experience the Israeli culture, and explore this beautiful country.
