I am so excited to leave for Israel in less than a week!

I am so excited to leave for Israel in less than a week! I can’t wait to meet and get to know more Jewish people my age. I am expecting the quarantine to be quite boring, but I am hopeful that my quarantine group will make the best out of it. I am so excited for the amazing adventures we will go on. I love to travel and I am thrilled to be in a place that is special to me.  I am nervous that we will get sent home or stuck in a lockdown in Israel, but I am very excited for adventures after quarantine!

I decided to go to Israel because I want to explore and learn all about the holy land. I hope to come out of this experience having knowledge on everything in Israel. Specifically, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I want to come home and have the knowledge to educate other people from my experience.

My mom, sister, brother, and cousin got to experience HSI and each came back with different yet amazing stories. I want to come back with amazing stories of my own to share with my friends and family. 

I chose to apply for the HSI fellowship because I wanted to be a leader to my peers. It is amazing to have such a great opportunity and I would love to use it to help others. Being a leader is something that I enjoy and I am lucky to be able to use my skills to influence other people.

I cannot wait to be in Israel next week, and I am so thankful for this amazing experience I am going to have!
