I am excited to bring back my own stories to share with friends and family.

I am so thrilled to have this opportunity to be able to experience the journey and land of Israel through AMHSI. 
As the trip is approaching, I am feeling the anticipation and excitement. There is so much going through my mind.  I am expecting to meet new people, try new things, and have new experiences. I am more excited than scared, but one thing I fear is keeping up with my schoolwork and transitioning back into school when I return.  What I hope to get out of this trip with HSI is to feel fully part of the Israeli culture and learn the different life of Israelis. I chose to apply for the fellowship because I didn’t want my first experience of Israel to be in the eyes of a tourist, going through HSI gives me the experience to partake in their lifestyle. 
I have heard so many great stories from my friends who have gone in past years and I am excited to bring back my own stories to share with friends and family. I am beyond excited and I can’t wait to begin this amazing journey on Tuesday!
