I have learned how to stick up for myself and the Jewish community.
As these 4 months come to an end, I look back at my experiences on this program, on my goals in the beginning, the friendships I’ve made, and my development as a Jewish woman. I believe that I have grown so much as a person and most of all as a Jewish woman. I have learned how to stick up for myself and the Jewish community. I’ve become more knowledgeable in Israel and Jewish history and have been able to visit the places where the battles/wars have taken place. I have been able to connect to Judaism in my own way and show it in my own way.
I have been able to make amazing lifelong friendships with people from all around the US, these people are truly amazing and inspiring, they never fail to surprise me with their talent. I loved spending almost everyday of my trip with everyone, I really got to connect with them in other ways than I would’ve at home and going to school every morning. I’ve been able to get a sneak peak into what my college life would be like even though it’s a couple years from now.
My experience on this program has been so unforgettable and life changing all for the better. I have learned so many new things about myself and about how I can grow as a person while being around many people but knowing how to separate myself from others when needed. Knowing that I can always count on the people around me to help me with school work and remind each other whether someone has class or homework...etc.
