Studying abroad is a once in a lifetime experience.

Studying abroad is a once in a lifetime experience. Here at AMHSI, we have well informed and experienced guides who know all the best sites to visit, when the best times to go are, and endless information about each site. You won’t have half as good as an experience if you go by yourself because you don’t have the proper knowledge and guidance to make the best out of your time in Israel.

Before AMHSI, when I thought about college being in only a couple years, I would get butterflies in my stomach because I didn’t think I was ready for it. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to create a healthy balance between my education and my social life, and that I would have trouble making my own decisions without the aid of my parents constantly being over my shoulder. But now that AMHSI has given me the college experience, independence and maturity, I now have so much more confidence in myself that I will be prepared for college.

If I hadn’t chosen to study abroad, I would have missed out on so many of the amazing friends I have now. Everyone who came to this program is here to make friends and make the most of this experience, nobody wants to lose out on this trip by creating a negative environment. I’m endlessly grateful for the friends I have made and I can’t imagine the person I would be now without the kind and genuine people I have been surrounded by these past few months, they have helped me grow so much as a person and thrive.

Listing that I studied abroad for a semester in high school will widely set me apart from others. Colleges look for students who challenge themselves and learn from their experiences. My personal growth and knowledge about the world will help strengthen my application when I enter the increasingly fierce fight for enrollment spots in colleges.

Studying abroad has provided me with so much knowledge and given me so many life experiences, and I feel so ready to move onto the next step in my life. When I depart from Israel and return home in just a short couple of weeks, I will be so excited to advocate for Israel and share my experiences from this amazing country.
