Visiting Tel Gezer

Tel gezer
This location was the well in which women would go to get water in order to in their village. This serves as drink, one of the four main necessities for new settlers, along with dine, defense, and drive. This well also served as a meeting place in which men often found their wives. This took place before the current era. In this tiyul, the Canaanite Gods, as well as archaeology were discussed. This tiyul interested me as the material that was covered related back to my history as a member of the Jewish community. It helped to show me the background as to how Judaism came to play and what religious traditions Avram was subjected to before its creation.  I most enjoyed the mental connection I could make between this material, and my current identity. - Dalia
