On this tiyul we hiked on a trail on the side of the mountain. We also went to the Jerusalem water tunnels near King David’s palace and Ben Yehuda Street. This tiyul was extremely enjoyable for me because I got to learn so many new and interesting things. Today I realized the true meaning of life. Today’s lesson about The Dome of the Rock showed me that life isn’t about materialistic objects such as what car you drive, which house you live in or what clothes you wear. Life is all about the deeper meaning. Today I learned about the place in which heaven and earth kiss. It is The Dome of the Rock. This intersection is physical and intimate. It’s where the beginning of the world started and all of society. All of our history has progressed from that specific and magical point in the world. - Mia
