In addition to learning the history and culture of the Jewish People, Alexander Muss High School in Israel aims to provide students with a positive academic environment in which they can keep up with all their studies from their home school. General Studies ensure that when students return to the U.S., they are immediately able to re-enter home school classes at a level commensurate with their peers.
AMHSI is internationally recognized and fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. AMHSI participants receive an official transcript following completion of the program .
Before the program begins, close contact is established with the participants’ parents, and guidance counselor in order to outline which subjects will be taught in Israel and to obtain the relevant syllabi.
General Studies classes are held on all days that students are not on field trips. Personal schedules are built for each student to cater to their individual needs. AMHSI has a staff of teachers who are very experienced; the majority of teachers have been teaching in our program for ten to twenty years. We teach all levels of Math, Science, Psychology, Sociology, English, History, and Government as well as foreign languages including Spanish, French, Latin, Chinese and Hebrew. All subjects can be taught at all levels, including Honors, Advanced, AP (Advanced Placement) and IB (International Baccalaureate) courses. |
